“Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame 2016 Event 

Founder of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame, Garry Mason, has released the 15th Annual “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame’s 2016 event date and venue.  This year’s inductees and guests will again be boarding one of the largest paddlewheel showboats in the country – the General Jackson Showboat/Music City Queen in Nashville, TN on Saturday, August 27th dockside along the Cumberland River.  Boarding the General Jackson Showboat/Music City Queen begins at 9:00am and will be followed by the banquet and induction ceremony at 10:00am.

2016 class of inductees include: Colorado Buck – Television Host & Professional Hunter; Lucy Mize – Professional Angler; WR Sauey – Co-Founder of Flambeau Outdoors; Terry and Mark Drury – Founders of Drury Outdoors; George Thornton – CEO of the National Wild Turkey Federation; and Fred Bear (post-humously) – known as “The Father of Modern Bowhunting”.

The Davy Crockett Trailblazer Award will now be known as the “Ray Scott American Trailblazer Award” in recognition of Hall of Fame Member and the Father of Professional Bass Fishing, Ray Scott.

Many outdoors celebrities attend this annual event and we will be updating this release as the event draws closer to include those who have RSVP’d.

The event is open to the public with an individual ticket price of $100 each.   Sponsorship information and individual ticket reservations may be obtained through the “Legends of the Outdoors” website at www.legendsoftheoutdoors.com, or by calling 731-593-0171 or 731-693-7770. Ticket and/or sponsorship reservations must be made and purchased before July 31, 2016.
